About Our Collections

Welcome to Western Sydney University Library, where a treasure trove of scholarly resources awaits to enrich your academic journey.

Our collection contains information and knowledge designed to advance the scholarly pursuits in our community. We have physical collections across nine locations . Additionally, we provide e-resources that are able to be accessed 24/7 from any location. Our collection is underpinned by the Library Collection Development Policy and is guided by the core principles of relevance, digital first, openness, cultural safety and sustainability.

The main focus of the collection supports teaching and research at the University but also encompasses special collections such as the Western Sydney University Institutional Repository ResearchDirect, and the Whitlam Prime Ministerial Collection.

We celebrate the knowledge and living cultures of Indigenous Australians and acknowledge their important contribution to teaching, learning and research though our collections. We actively provide resources to support the incorporation of Indigenous perspectives into curriculum, including the Dharawal Pharmacopoeia gifted to the University by Auntie Fran Bodkin.
