Check whether a shortlisted journal and your article are eligible for open access publishing under a current agreement.
CAUL’s open access agreements, such as its Read & Publish (R&P) agreements, may allow eligible Western Sydney University researchers and Higher Degree Research candidates to publish open access without paying an article processing charge (APC).
Check whether funding is available
The University is not accepting new applications for central APC funding. Western Sydney University support for open access journal publishing is provided mainly through Read & Publish agreements.
Check whether a journal is covered under a Read & Publish agreement?
- Search the Read & Publish agreement Title List
- Select Western Sydney University.
- Search for the journal by keywords in the title.
- Open the journal tile. Confirm the publisher of the journal.
- Review the publisher’s agreement. Check author eligibility, eligible article types, licence options, submission steps, and any additional charges.
A journal may appear in the Title List, but not all article types may be eligible for coverage. Check the agreement details and publisher eligibility criteria before submission to confirm whether your article type is included.
