Research Publication Collection

The Library collects publications both for the purposes of internal reporting and the University’s Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) submission, which is prepared by Research Services. The Library audits these publications and non-traditional research outputs (creative works and research reports) against the 2018 ERA Submission Guidelines.

Traditional and non-traditional research outputs must meet the Australian Research Council’s definition of research (p. 9) to be eligible for ERA reporting. All publications that fall within ERA categories will appear in ResearchDirect, the Portal and Staff Profiles, but only publications that meet the ERA guidelines will contribute towards research publication count on the Portal.

Journal articles which meet all ERA eligibility guidelines but are not published in a journal on the ERA Journal list will also contribute to this count, but won't form part of the ERA submission.

A chart outlining how publications flow from the Library to other University systems can be found here.

As the library harvests publications from Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar, please check ResearchDirect before submitting your publication.
