Increased renewals, number of items and more

2014 heralds the launch of a revised Library Loans Policy, providing a number of improved loan conditions for clients across all categories. All renewals or loans will now reflect these changed conditions:

Standard loans (ie Undergraduate, Alumni, Service Agreement Students, Reciprocal Agreements, Community, Corporate and High School Agreements)

  • increased from 25 to 30 items at any one time
  • 14 day renewal periods, up to a maximum of 84 days from the initial renewal date (previously maximum 28 days)

Extended loans (Postgraduate, External, Distance and registered eligible Disability students)

  • increased from 40 to 60 items at any one time
  • 28 day renewal periods, up to a maximum of 168 days from the initial renewal date (previously maximum 56 days)

Staff loans

  • increased from 40 to 100 items at any one time
  • increased loan period from 28 days to 56 days
  • 56 day renewal periods, up to a maximum of 336 days from the initial renewal date (previously maximum of 56 days)

Other minor changes were made to reflect terminology changes from updating the Library System and the inclusion of the new iPads for loan service.
