Upcoming outage of Library services on 3 July 2022

LIBRARY SEARCH, READINGS & RESOURCES LISTS UNAVAILABLE 3 JULY 2022

On 3 July 2022, the Library’s search box and Readings & Resources lists will not be available due to a planned outage. The outage is scheduled to start at 2:00 am, and complete by 2:00 pm.

During this time, you can still access the Library’s eResources through our A-Z Resource List. However, searching for digital and physical items with the Library search box will be unavailable. Online renewal, inter-campus requests and document delivery requests will be unavailable as well.

If you are at one of our campus libraries during this time, borrowing items with self-service machines will be unavailable; instead, please go to the service desk where a Library team member will be able to help.

To ensure Readings & Resources lists available through vUWS work properly after this outage, you may need to do a few things:

  • If you have bookmarked a reading list outside of vUWS, you will need to update your bookmark by following these instructions.
  • If you’ve added a link to a reading list elsewhere, you’ll need to update your link by using this information.
  • If you’re an academic who is using the reading list Cite It! tool in your web browser to add to reading lists, you’ll want to delete this from your browser’s bookmarks bar, then re-install it.
  • If you’re an academic running courses during the weekend of 2-3 July 2022, please contact your School Librarian to discuss potential impacts and possible workarounds.
