As students and staff at the Western Sydney University, Indonesia Surabaya campus, you have access to the extensive resources and services provided by the local Surabaya campus library and our online resources and support.

General Collection
All General Collection items are loaned for 14 days. You will need to either renew them or bring them back to the Library.
Items on loan must be returned before or on the due date to avoid penalties. See Managing Your Loans & Requests for further details.
Online Collections
Online material loan periods are displayed at the time of borrowing and are set by the vendor.
Membership & Conditions Of Use
Eligibility: Currently enrolled Western Sydney University Indonesia (Surabaya) students
Students can
- have 5 General Collection items on loan at any one time
- Request General Collection items
- access most e-resources off-campus
Eligibility: Current Western Sydney University Indonesia (Surabaya) staff
Staff can
- have 5 General Collection items on loan at any one time
- request General Collection items
- access most e-resources from off-campus
- loan one print journal for three days. Journals must be returned on the due date.
How To Use The Library
The Library has a range of resources available for loan. You will require a Library card to loan physical resources from the library.
- Your ID card is your Library card.
- Familiarise yourself with your Conditions of Use
- You are responsible for all transactions on your record in the Library system.
- Lost cards should be reported to the library to ensure no unauthorised use.
You are responsible for the timely return of borrowed items irrespective of the receipt or non-receipt of email notices.
If local Surabaya campus item you need is already on loan you may place a request on the item to be made available for you when it is returned. Request items via the Library Search Box 'Request' link.
There is no charge for this service.
A courtesy availability email will be sent to your email account once the item is ready to collect.
Items will be held for seven (7) days at the nominated pickup location.
Requests cannot be placed by clients with overdue items and/or fees of $10 or greater.
You can login to My Library to:
- Review items on loan and see their due dates
- Renew your loans
- View the status of requested items
- Review any outstanding fees
General Collection items may be renewed three times, for a total loan period of 8 weeks.
Items that have been requested by others will not be renewable and the item must be returned by the due date.
You will need to return items to the Library on level 35.
Failure to return items will result in them being marked as Lost and a $125 replacement charge will be applied. Amounts of $10 or greater must be paid in full to restore borrowing privileges.
Courtesy notices are sent to your email account to alert you to:
- Library items due for return
- Requested items available for collection
- Lost items and associated fees
