45 and Up Study Data
The 45 and Up Study is the largest study of healthy ageing ever undertaken in the Southern Hemisphere. Over 250,000 men and women aged 45 and over across NSW – about 10% of this age group – have been recruited and will have their health followed over the coming decades.
The 45 and Up Study is managed by the Sax Institute in partnership with major partner Cancer Council NSW and partners: the National Heart Foundation of Australia (NSW Division); beyondblue; NSW Ministry of Health; NSW Government Family & Community Services- Carers, Ageing and Disability Inclusion; and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.
Further information is available on the Sax Institute website.
