Who is noticing you? Webinar on new Altmetric tool on 2 May
The University has a new tool to assist researchers monitor the online activity surrounding their academic and non-traditional research outputs. Altmetric Explorer compiles and analyses attention to your research within Twitter, Facebook, policy documents, Wikipedia, scientific blog posts, news outlets and more. The data can be displayed and analysed at an individual researcher, School/Institute or institutional level.
Leonie Hayes from Altmetric is conducting a webinar to demonstrate the tool and its many uses for researchers and the University. These could include grant or promotion applications on an individual level, and for the forthcoming Excellence in Research for Australia Engagement exercise at an institutional level. The tool could also assist identify potential research collaborators.

The tool is listed on the Library A-Z database list or via available the web. Create a free account before the session to access the Western Sydney Institutional view of the database. You must be logged into Western to access the ‘Create an Account’ and ‘Sign In’ options.
